Oliver Solberg expressed gratitude towards Sebastien Ogier for his significant help in preparing him to drive a factory Toyota Rally1 car at Rally Estonia next week.
Being the current WRC2 points leader, Solberg is excited to return to the WRC’s top flight after Toyota offered him the chance to drive one of its factory GR Yaris Rally1 cars.
During a pre-event test in Finland, Solberg got his first taste of driving the GR Yaris Rally1, describing it as a dream come true and the coolest experience of his life.
Despite feeling some nerves, Solberg is focused on learning and gradually improving, with the main goal being to gain valuable experience and competitiveness in Rally1.
He has actively sought advice from his Toyota teammates and received valuable assistance from Ogier in acclimating to the team and the new car.
Solberg’s goals for Rally Estonia are simple yet ambitious: to finish the rally, gain as much experience as possible in the car, and continually improve his comfort and performance throughout the event.
